Briefly about TEP project and Latvian mission

TEP or Tsunami Education Project was my and my German colleague Thorsten's idea after last year's GLEN Tsunami relief project in Sri Lanka. This year our main focus will be to educate teachers of secondary schools about reasons of tsunamis. We want to prepare them to be able to run lessons for pupils in the future. Study mate of Thorsten and geographer Sandra Laskowski has joined our project as well. Big thanks to German NGO "HELP" for financing TEP project. Also thanks to city of Bochum in Germany for their support.

Besides TEP project my duty is to run Latvian mission. In 2005 some donations for tsunami affected Sri Lanka were collected in Latvia. Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Latvia appointed me to run Latvian mission. Within available budget of mission most probably some preliminary school will be built. At the moment I am searching for small project in the west coastal areas of Sri Lanka.
